Download StatusBar self explanitory UnPlug this shows the hidden links to vids/aud that you can't download from a page LeetKey play around with text, encoding etc. adBlock allows you to block page elements like ads etc... SpeedDial shows you 8 webpages (by default, i believe you can change this to more or less) at once on screen Pearl Crescent Page Saver saves whole page, not just what you see like Print Screen GreaseMonkey programming stuff
Tab Mix Plus rocks, 'bain. It gives you so much control over fx tabs, links, windows, it has a great session manager, it includes handy display preferences like removing the close button from tabs, highlighting unread tabs, allows you to set a page to reload at custom intervals, plus way more options. Give it a try and take time to sift through all of its controls. The most recent official release isn't compatible with Fx 3, but you can install the latest development build here (I've been using this build since Fx 3 release day and haven't had any problems).
I use Zotero mostly for organizing research for school papers. It saves embedded citation information in pages, exports info in a bunch of different citation styles, and generally makes creating Works Cited/References pages a breeze. You can read all about it here.

"Add-ons" refers to extensions, themes, plugins, dictionaries, etc. collectively, so I think this is a fine place for your question. If you installed themes from Mozilla's add-ons site (the safest/most secure place to download these things from), you should be able to click on the Tools menu, click Add-ons, go to Themes, click the theme you want to try and then click Use Theme, then restart Firefox.
The process is streamlined a bit in Fx 3. Install a theme and it is automatically selected for use the next time you open Firefox. Fx 3 also has a "Get Add-ons" section in the Add-ons dialogue where you can securely search for and install them.
