how do you make a VCD out of a DAT file?

is this similar to a DVD where you convert the video _ts folder to and IMG file and that is what actually goes on the DVD?

(meaning a VCD takes an MPEG and changes it to a DAT and this works on the VCD?)

if this is the case, do i just put this DAT file on a blank CD and it will work??

thanks for any help!!

I use a program called vcdgear to extract the .mpg from the .dat, though I am not sure you need too.

I am pretty sure you can just rename the file extension from .dat to .mpg and re-burn the disc to VCD.

There is a slight difference in the structure of .dat and .mpg files, so you need to use VCDGear to extract .mpg files from .dat files.

Once you get the real mpg file, you can use Nero or VCDEasy to create your VCD.
