I have a MacBook Pro and I'm using bootcamp to partition my hard drive and run windows. Now, it boots to windows by default, and I need to hold down the option key to boot to MacOs when the computer is starting. Anyone know how to change the default system I boot to so it will boot to Mac by default?

Go to System Preferences and click on "Startup Disk", both the Mac and Windows partitions should be there. Click on the Mac partition and that should do it.

Bootcamp won't allow partitions larger that 30ish gigs on my girlfriend's computer. What can we do to change this? Will defragging do the trick, and if so, what program is suggested?

Meh, she had to reformat because bootcamp requires a continuous block of memory. Due to the infinite wisdom of Apple, they do not provide a defragment utility, so this was the free alternative.
use Parallels. it's much easier than dealing with boot camp and partitions. you don't have to restart to switch over. you can run windows from within MAC OS as an application

I'm currently maxing out her video card, and possibly memory with Empire:Total War. Would parallels explode in such a scenario? Additionally, parallels requires either money or violation of copyright law, while reformating requires neither.

I wish I knew about this before I partitioned my hard drive.
