So, my computer is only letting me on very very few websites and if I go to most sites my entire computer will freeze. Originally I thought that I had to much space used up on it, so I deleted a whole bunch of programs and put Itunes on a jump drive to clean the computer up. But it hasn't fixed the problem at all. I'm really hoping that I don't have to do a complete restore on my computer. Does this problem sound familiar or know how to fix this.

Thanks

Did you check your capacitor drive settings and run the correct CRQ script?

Just ignore cutuphalfdead, he thinks he's clever.

Sorry this is 10 days later after your first post, but if you're still out there browsing around maybe you can answer a few questions?

Does your computer freeze up ONLY when you are browsing websites? Or does it freeze up also when you are using other software that is installed?

Which browser are you using? (Firefox / IE ) Do you have anti-virus software installed?
Are you able to open Task Manager? (CTRL+ALT+DEL)

Also, if you can do this:

open your command line terminal

XP: Start > run > type in "cmd.exe" > Enter
Vista: Start > type "cmd.exe" in the Start search box > Enter

at the command prompt...
ie. (C:\Users\{yournamehere}>)

type this exactly as it's shown while replacing your profile name in the {yournamehere} part:

Code:
wmic /output: C:\User\{yournamehere}\Desktop\process.txt process get description,executablepath

This *should* create a text file called "process.txt" on your desktop.
If so open it and then copy and paste it here, so I can see what that file contains.
