Post subject: Problem with my OS (C) disk on my computer

I'm trying to restore my system back a few days, and I've done this many times before, but today it says there is an error on my OS (C) disk. Then it asks if I want to check the disk and make automatic repairs, so I click yes and it says it can do the check with the system in use. I have no idea how to not have this system in use. I think it's the main hardrive disk. I'm not a computer guy so sorry for my lack of terms. Thank you for any help

if i remember correctly it will do the system check when you reboot. if that doesn't work you could also try booting in safe mode and try fixing it from there.
