Do we have the technology to do this? Many forums do and it would be great for a casual reader of RM, even though I'm sure it would be abused.

think of it in terms you can relate to

think of a post as being $1
think of 10 views as being $10

given, it's simple. Each post is a matzo ball, each view is the blood of one gentile baby. You need ten babies' worth of blood for each matzo.

Why not just think of one view as being $1?

I've seen rating systems on boards. People get hostile when rated low. HOSTILE.
