I've download a codec pack so that I can now play FLAC files, but WMP 12 doesn't add them to the lilbrary, I can't seem to do it manually. Any Ideas? Do I need to download some kind of tag support for FLAC files?

The installer had become a minefield of pre-selected advertising links and browser toolbars when I stopped using it. But whatever floats your boat, mayne.

It's pretty easy to click no for all of those.

Sure, but if I'm recommending software for someone still using stuff like IE or WMP, I assume they're also the type to rapid-click NEXT to install anything. I'm not saying Winamp is bad software, though. It probably still whips the llama's ass.

Good point. And yeah, it does.

Solid generalisation.

I love the VLC player. Very light, smooth, handles both video and audio quite well.

This recent post on VideoLAN's twitter feed might interest you then.

@okieBubba you know, we have a nice Media Library coming for VLC 1.2.0 (hopefully) and the audio playback should be of higher quality :D

I think so. If it doesn't apply to you, then congrats. But I choose to take the reasonable precaution of trying to recommend software with installers someone can rush through without inviting more potential problems along the way.

Have you found a solution to your problem yet?
