What is the best way to troubleshoot a clock that has a second hand that is stuck? I've changed out the batteries and I've given it a good shake, but nothing has worked so far. The make is Ingraham, if that matters. I can't seem to locate the model number, but it's just your standard plastic wall analog. Thanks in advance.

Do the other hands work?

i believe this particular clock relies on gears, so there's no way of knowing if the other two hands work as long as the second hand is stuck in it's rut. As I understand it, the second hand is the one that drives the whole mess into the cycle of time.

I'd start removing screws and open it up. Maybe you'll see the gear that's slipped out.

That would be a helpful little scene. I'll try it. Thanks!

Well, I pulled the battery component out of the back, thinking that I could get a better look at the gears. Instead, everything went to hell. I'm going to shop for a new analog clock tomorrow.

Pop the plastic cover off the face and show those bastard hands who's boss, Reid.

I'm probably going to give this clock away. Any takers?

I can't help but question that statement after all we've been through, but hopefully this clock can get us going again. Use it for disc golf or something.
