So cell service in Canada sucks (at least, compared to the States). I'm looking for ways to minimize the expenses associated with international calling, and wondering whether anyone has any experience with Google Voice.

How does it fucking work?

i've recently been looking into similar options as cell coverage is shitty at my apartment.

i just downloaded this and called my sister in milwaukee. the call dropped once and was cutting out towards the end. i also had her call me twice, and each time she called, my iphone didn't notify me until after she had already left a voicemail.

Why not just Skype?

skype's fine for making outbound calls, but to have your own number to receive inbound calls, you have to pay $60/year - which isn't that bad really.

It's so much easier to let you argue with yourself.
