Alright, this is the one thing I somehow missed over the last decade and I need to learn how to do this.

What do you have to do to get a DVD player playable DVD from a download that is a VIDEO_TS folder?

Can I just burn that folder onto a data DVD and pop it in my DVD player?

Thanks team.

No, it won't play data dvds. You need IMGBurn or DVD decryptor or a similar program. I have a few different ones I use for different types of files, but for what you're trying to do you should be able to use IMGBurn. It's free. Go get it.

I could talk you through you your first burn from home on AIM or something if you want.

You're awesome. I'll check out IMGBurn and let you know if I need help.

Ok, question that hopefully someone (I'm looking at you, Angi) can help me with.

I went to use IMGBurn to burn the 5/17/2010 DVD. Now, all I have are single layer DVDs but it appears that this will require a dual layer (it needs close to 8gb instead of 4). Now, I don't have any DLs and I have a whole stack of regular DVDs. How does one split the show into two single layer DVDs instead of putting it all on one DL? The entire thing is currently in one VIDEO_TS folder.

Thanks, team.

First and foremost, have you run the content aware filter?

I don't know any way to burn a watchable disc that way. I have split the files and put them onto 2 discs for a b+p, with the understanding that the guy who received them would need to put the files all back into one folder (and burn to a DL DVD) when he wanted to watch it. For commercial movies etc. too big for a single layer disc I would use DVDShrink to re-encode but I wouldn't do that for a show. If you decide to do that, mark your disc and don't trade it with anyone, that would be for your own personal use only.

Yeah I just found a program like an hour ago that will split them into two DVDs. It's called DVDFab but it's not free. Thank gosh for the internet.
