I have two external hard drives that I want to backup to a single drive. I am currently working on PC (XP Media) and in the near future, I may purchase a Mac. Once my data is transferred, the external drive is going right back into the box it arrived in. One of the external drives is mainly audio and the other is video. The external drive I purchased for backup comes formatted in NTFS. Should I reformat the drive to FAT32 and why? I understand that Mac's enable you to read/write to/from a FAT32 drive. Let's say I purchase a Mac...my main concern is that I will not be able to access the data from the 'master' drive if it's formatted in NTFS.
