Post subject: Tried and tried with torrent- now need help!

Hi all.
Hope you can help. Ive been reading on here for a long time.
Im trying to dl torrents from eazytree.
Im on ADSL voyager 205 router 1mb broadband
ive read all about port forwarding, etc. static Ip address and all that.
I thought Id solved it last night, but after about 20 mins of d/l at 50+ k
it drops to zero .
my router crashes and my pc then loses sight of it. I have to reset everything- its saying it cant find the IP adress
please can anyone help- this has been driving me crazy- ive tried all things ive read and either dont understand (ill admit) or it hasnt worked.
