So my Mom's computer says there is a DVD RW drive on it, but I cant seem to burn a DVD....the recording software on it now is what came with the computer. Its Sonic Record Now!.
Am I missing something or am I only able to burn data off the computer? IM not sure any help would be great. It would be nice to start returning some favors in the Trading forum.

Are you sure it's not a DVD/CD-RW drive (i.e. it reads DVDs and writes CD-RW's)? You could look up the info on the manufacturer's website or read the manual on it, you know.

what are you trying to do? copy a dvd movie? burn a video you downloaded? make a data disc?
