it´s pretty interesting to see the roles of the United States and Britain in this story, they should be obligated to give Assange the safe passage and granted him a fair trial. Im sure it won´t happen, specially if Obama is asking for Assange to be in jail.
Any president no matter their affiliation would want him in jail to keep some of that shit from being posted on the interwebz.
yeah of course, but im guessing he won´t have a fair trail at all...that´s what assange is guessing too. im kinda surprised to see a little country like Ecuador going for it like this.
I guess its official - Wikileaks is dead. If you have both most governments in the western world AND anonymous mad at you - you might be doing something wrong.
I contend that while Wikileaks was a good organization in concept the founder was oddly obsessed with the US government and this was ultimately his downfall. While his whistleblowing was useful, more exposure in say Russia or China or any number of developing countries could've done more good. If the best he can do to try to prod the US into changing direction is 'collateral murder' then his organization is rightly seen as amateurish. Trying to combat propoganda and lies with more propoganda is a disservice when you claim to be a servant to unbiased truth.
