Quote:
Torn limbs and other body parts littered the street outside the clinic in Hillah, a predominantly Shiite area about 60 miles south of Baghdad.

Monday's blast outside the clinic was so powerful it nearly vaporized the suicide bomber's car, leaving only its engine partially intact. The injured were piled into pickup trucks and ambulances and taken to nearby hospitals.

Vaporized a car???

This mess is going to go on for years. I don't think there will ever be peace there, to be quite honest. Oh, well, shutup and support the troops Ara.

You people simply amaze me.

With all the good things that are going on over there, you are intent on focusing on the stupid fucks that are trying in vain to kill themself. Good riddance. They will eventually disappear, thanks to suicide.

With all the horrible things that are going on over there, you are intent on focusing on the piddly little fucks in the rural communities that have no bearing on the country. They will eventually disappear, thanks to civil war.

So I suppose if I sent some impressionable dipshit down to Chapel Hill to blow himself up outside of UNC and take 120 people with him, you'd throw in the towel and say America was a lost cause?

If it happened daily, I'd leave North Carolina.

As would I. But, most of the Iraqi people prolly don't have the same luxuries as you and I.

Yeah, the first two are subjective. For that matter, so are some of the benefits of number three.

No, that's OK. Your enlightenment has totally changed the way I view things over there, as I did not know any of these things already. I guess if everything's as peachy as you say, there really isn't a need to have such a large US force over there anymore, eh?

Your sarcasm is always appreciated. And I am not trying to enlighten you. Yeah, it still sucks over there. I am also sure it probably sucked like that here as well about 230 years ago. I am however not so sure why people expect "instant gratification" when it comes to matters like this.

Maybe I just want to look on the bright side instead of constantly being pessimistic.

Instant gratification? I think you have me confused with someone else:

Image

I recognize that there have been achievements in Iraq. However, I still wonder where those WMDs are that were the reason we went in the first place. And I still don't believe that it has been worth the loss of 1500+ Americans as well as the tens of thousands of Iraqi civilians killed.

Word. Don't ask me to list all the dictatorships that we currently support either. Or the genocides that we've done nothing about.

Why Iraq? It's blindingly obvious why Iraq.

What was Bush's quote? He's not interested in nation-building?

On a positive note, some of our troops are still alive!

U.S. Troops Deaths in Iraq Top 1,500
By TODD PITMAN, Associated Press Writer

BAGHDAD, Iraq - The number of U.S. troops killed in Iraq has topped 1,500, an Associated Press count showed Thursday after the military announced the deaths of three Americans, while car bombs targeting Iraqi security forces killed at least four people in separate attacks.
