Anyone here, besides voting, done any volunteer work for a candidate? And not just the President, I'm talking Senate, House, State reps, whatever. Share your experiences.

I've canvassed for the Kerry-Edwards campaign. Also, I've had many, many debates with people in the hot tub at the YMCA and elsewhere throughout Florida.
I try to practice what I preach.
God bless,
Jared

I've only participated on a very local/family level by making sure that I register along with my family and people I work with.
I also have encouraged my student-athletes to go out and register/vote (no matter what their affiliation politically) and to make sure they read up on the candidates as much as possible.

I've signed up many unregistered voters at work. Given my 2 cents everywhere I hear Kerry/Cheney mentioned. All in all though, I wish I could say I've done more...

I really would have liked too do more this year, but between work and school of late, I haven't had much time. I've attended our college democrat meetings, and have really spoke my mind, especially at work, where I interact with a lot of young people who are voting for the first time this election.

I've encouraged friends and co-workers to get registered and to get informed on the issues. I also requested that Human Resources post company policy to let employees where I work know that they can leave work to go vote w/o it counting against them. I tried to get them to let me pass put flyers to show people how and where to get registered but they said that would be paritsan and against the policy. WTF! Oh well, you win some you lose some. I work with many single moms and minorities and I really hope I've been able to make a difference.

I'm a precinct leader for MoveON PAC canvassing around the neighborhood and being at the polls on E-day. It's my way of doing something for what I belive in at 16.
