What a weird little story.

EDMONTON – A woman sleeping in her south Edmonton home was hit by a bullet early Thursday morning, after it came through her roof and bedroom ceiling.

"I thought I was just dreaming," Jane Amurao said. "I thought it's just somebody in my dream.

"And then we wake up, there's a hole in our ceiling, then suddenly we see that there's a bullet in our bed."

The bullet hit Amurao in the chest. She was bruised and shaken, but is otherwise uninjured.

"We are a little bit afraid, because what if that hit our head? My husband's head and my head too?" Amurao said. "We don't know where it came from.

"My God, things happen every day, but we don't have [safety] here any more."

Police say the bullet was large-calibre and fired into the air. They are now trying to determine where it was fired from.

Whoa, that is weird. I just assumed that bullets that were fired in the air never landed.

To quote Chris Kattan, "What does that mean?!?!"

Where did you think they went?!

I've seen a few news report similar to this,.... drive by shootings where bullets go through a wall and hit a child, stuff like that. I'm not sure what the odds are of this happening, but I'm thinking/hoping they are low. It's very sad though, when this happens. It's good to hear that this woman was "okay" (uninjured).
