WILL SMITH FOR POPE IN '05!
Im not the most religous person in the world, but have some respect for the man.
No. America is free and Im using it to my advantage.
Ok, thats fine. I just think its a little insensative to post on a message board mocking the passing of a religous leader. But whatever gets you off...knock yourself out bro.

how long until they name a new one?
and who will god speak to in the meantime?
In 15 days, they all congregate and choose a new pope.
and there are 117 cardinals who could be the next pope.

American scum.
I would rather be American scum than anything else. I have already proved that I am scum so that cant change. I might as well be American scum than Canadian scum or Middle East scum. America is the best, hands down!

HA! I thought you were begging respect for Will.
No, in fact I dont like Will Smith at all...but I think the Pope has earned the respect of everyone around the world.

Operative words : "I think".
I'm pretty much apathetic on the deal. I'm sure he's done some good things, but there's that whole messy thing about how the Vatican has handled the concentrated amount of pedophile activity within it's ranks.
And no - the Pope releasing an "official statement against such activity" after decades of mishandlings AFTER they'd been caught - is NOT okay with me.
Plus there's all the book bannings, etc.
I'm not catholic, I'm not even Christian. This doesn't effect my life in any way. I'm still poor, and the Pope is still at the head of a religious organization who's massive amounts of money mostly go to building pretty buildings and not helping the people that they COULD afford to help, should they really choose to.
