Can we tone down the comments like ...
"Are you crazy?" "Are you stupid?" "Surely everyone here has gone insane." "I can't believe what I'm hearing!"
We're all reasonably educated, semi-adults here. People rarely post viewpoints that haven't been brought up and defended by politicians, judges, professors, etc. There's no reason to tuck vieled insults into your debate.
Also, I'm as guilty as anyone else. I know they're still going to happen. Just be aware of how it cuts the credibility out of your own argument when you say stuff like that.

In all honesty, I could give two shits what the RM community thinks of me, but you get your groove going on a good debate and then someone busts into the middle with "What are all of you? Total mental deficients?" And then people start arguing with that person because they don't feel validated. Then there's a quote in a quote in a quote in a quote in a quote in a quote in a quote in a quote in a quote in a quote and then the thread is 5 pages of shit. It just turns News&Debate into General Discussion, and NO ONE wants that.
