Finally, something I would buy.

(it is amazing, yet not surprising that he is getting death threats, I'm sure from Republicans who claim to have a strong sanctity of life and pro lifer and all. just a bit of irony.)

Y'know, they were talking about this on Air America. I'm kind of suprised that people would spend money on a device like this when they could just not turn to Fox News for free. Besides, don't most TVs let you block any channel you'd like anyhow?

Funny toy.

I have a TV that was manufactured in November of 1991 and you can block any channel. Stupid.

I agree... but I also think it is more of a statement than anything else.

The statement is "I can't work the feature on my TV that would block Fox News for free."

They need to find a device that blocks Fox News and plays the audio from Air America instead.

If I'm mistaken, please correct me....
But Air America doesn't clame to be "fair and balanced" like Fox.... To me saying, yes we have a left/right wing agenda isn't slanted, because you know what you are getting... Fox never says that. If they came out and said we are a mouth piece for the Bush Admin., it would be understandable that their programming is slanted soooooo far to the right.

if at this point, you dont realise that fox trys to bolster dubyas image, then i dont know what to tell ya (not you personally, but the general public)

and just because someone or something admits something or doesnt admit something, doesnt make it any less laughable

I understand your point... but then how can Fox (or something like Air America) be able to be deemed a creditable source of info. Although it is naive of me to think that everyone reporting "news" is right down the middle.

A side note to what you said... I'm sure that everyone, sans the most blinded of individual, realizes that Fox is a huge Republican mouth piece, but many people will hear what they want to, right or left, regardless.

this is hysterical...

I agree that it is a "protest purchase" more than anything else. I almost want to get one just so I can make that protest myself...

But I do tune into Fox every so often: "Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer".

No, not at all ... hell, they're even honest about it. It's just, that might give someone a reason to buy this Fox Blocker. Anyone can not turn on a channel, but if the device replaced Fox with some kind of liberal programming, THAT would be worth a few bucks.

"Kimery's motives go deeper than preventing people from watching the channel, which he acknowledges can be done without the Blocker. But he likens his device to burning a draft card, a tangible example of disagreement."

He's done it as a form of protest, not because there was a need for a product that blocks Fox. By doing something unusual and different like this, he has people talking about it and raising awareness for his issue, which in this case seems to be working better than a website or pamplet could. Plus that guy is a total nerd, im sure he made the device just to show he could.

I've heard AA radio hosts state several times that they aren't journalists, they're radio hosts on a liberally-biased radio station.

Fox states that they are purely impartial journalists.

How can you compare the two as equally laughable? Fox News pees in the face of the entire journalistic community whenever they claim to be "Fair and Balanced."
