is it jsut me ? (it very well could be) but do the dems and the left urge the kids more to get out and vote? maybe its just a case of seeing and hearing what i chose to...but it seems that the left does more and makes more attempts at putting organizations together to get the youth voter turnout...now historically the youth votes democrat...

I think you just answered your own question.

The tricky part is making sure the youth actually goes through with their voting.

1. I think the polls highly underestimate the youth vote.

2. On Tuesday the voting booths are going to be crowded and there is going to be long lines. The two categories of voters this will hurt are the youth because they have no patience and the elderly who physically cant wait in an hour long line.

I think this year, the youth vote has been more underestimated than ever before.

And thankfully, there has also been a record number of requests for absentee ballots, so that should alleviate the lines to some extent.

It isn't just you. People know what they are doing when it comes to politics. MTV for example is stressing "20 million loud" or something like that. They want a large youth voter turnout. Because they lean left. Is that bad? Absolutely not... I'd rather have them just say the truth though. They want the Democrat to win.

Both parties want to increase their core's turnout. Dem's are attempting to get individuals in prison to have their votes counted because they know that it will help their cause. Republican's are trying to counter this attempt by the Democratic Party. Democrats are trying to get young uninformed kids to polls on MTV, or with P. Diddy's Vote or Die, because they know overall they will benifit from that. There's no doubt Republican's can't counter this. Republican's are appealing to Church groups. Dem's have no counter here. Dem's are also trying to get the military vote thrown out because they know it isn't going to be in their favor (happening in PA). Republican's are trying to override the Dem's attempts here.

Elections are all about turnout.

In Colorado we have early voting which is awesome. Anyway today I heard that up to 60% of registered voters will vote using early voting. That's a high # of voters and thats awesome.
