Quick question:

Are you afraid of being attacked by terrorists again. I don't mean in a general sense, in a more specific sense.

So are you afraid that terrorists will strike somewhere close to your home, having a direct impact on you? If so, tell us where you live.

I live about 5 miles from an operating Navy Yard and about 3 miles from an air base used for goverment purposes & it still has weapons stored on it. I also live about 15 miles from a nuke plant.

Should I be afraid?

Im not a bit afraid. I live in BFE, near absolute nothing of value for a terrorist to attack.

No, but when the Air Base was fully operational, I was always hangin' around trying to catch a fly-boy, like Debra Winger!!!

I'm not particularly afraid. For one, I don't see any reason for terrorists to attack New Orleans. For two, even on September 11th, I failed to feel the personal terror that attack was supposed to inspire. Anger and sadness, yes; but not fear. In all honesty, I'm more afraid of the direction the Bush administration is taking us than I am of any perceived threat from the Middle East. Personally, I feel that fundamentalist Christians, with their man Bush in office, stand to do more damage to this country than any Muslim could ever dream of.

I live a block from Times Square and walk through it almost every day. Considering they just arrested three terror suspects trying to become NYC cabbies a day or two ago, I'm pretty frigging scared.

But whatvever happens happens, and I'm not going to sit in my apartment with the windows duct-taped shut, afraid to actually live my life for fear I might lose it.

I live in Bentonville, Arkansas - home of the evil empire Wal-Mart. I do often wonder what would keep a terrorist from dropping a bomb right here and crippling that company. The ramifications would be huge from an economic standpoint. Yes, there is still Kmart, Target, etc to shop at - but the unbelievable stronghold that WM has on this country in many places would be harmful.

As much as I despise that company, I am only concerned for my family. If WM was gone tomorrow, I'd live a much more happy life.

I don't think anyone should be afraid.

You're far more likely to go outside your house and get hit by and elephant than die from a terrorst attack.

I've just heard some conservatives at work talk about terrorists hitting their kids schools etc. It's sad to see how Bush has made people so afraid going about their daily lives. It's no way to live.

No. If kudos lives in Israel, and he's not afraid, then why should I be? Isn't that what the terrorists want? And I highly doubt they'd plan an attack on Medford, Oregon.

so umm, how many people in the world have walked out of their house and been killed by an elephant? as opposed to the 1500-3000 people that died on 9-11 alone?

I'm not afraid in the slightest of being killed in a terrorist attack.

I'm much more worried about losing my job.

You, me, bin Laden, Bush, Kerry, in the end we're all just food for earthworms; in a thousand years, who's gonna care?

By not answering, I was implying no one, as I listed no one.

I shouldn't have to explain such things.
