Next year.

Some colleagues of mine have been there. Its a beautiful country they say. I plan to go to Iran next year sometime in february. Do you think its a wise idea?

Iran is next on Bush's list on the axis of evil. Bush wont let them have nukes. Will Iran be the next Iraq?

It might be a learning experience. You may never get another chance either.

So I say go for it. The US is not invading Iran whether its on the axis of giggles or not.

I say go for it. When will you get another chance? I know I'd jump at the chance.

Just one thing though:

If you do go, I hope the people there are better than the people in Dubai and Kuwait. Awful, awful, pompous, pretentious, snobbish people. Words cannot describe some of the stuff I've seen the past couple of days...

I've heard that the people of Iran are very open and welcoming towards Americans, contrary to the way the country is portrayed in the United States. I say go and enjoy. Suppose to be a beautiful country.

Well, if that's the case, get to Iran to escape that smog in Malaysia

I'd love to visit the Middle East one day. My dad grew up in Lebanon, and he always said it was really beautiful there before war and such destroyed everything. But Lebanon's done a lot of rebuilding and it's supposed to be returning to its past glory as a tourist destination, especially Beirut. But we all know shit still happens. But yeah, I hope sometime in my life things mellow out over there to the point where I'd feel safe travelling. There's so much history in that part of the world it'd be a shame not to experience it.
