That said, I wonder how educated you feel. Outside of a few big races the smaller local races for county positions I abstained because I don't know who the hell these people even are and I generally don't vote in incumbant only uncontested races. Granted I just moved here, but I'm not sure I could find a lot of information on these people if I wanted to. I'm always a little amused at the wording of the amendments and splosts they let us vote on. Everything is always slanted towards WE HAVE TO DO THIS OR ELSE!!! Never just the information and make your decision. I can't imagine most voters have even heard of most of these amendments before they go to the polling place. Unless there is an ad campaign or you have a particularly good local radio or paper... it would be tough to get informed on those issues. Sure the internet, but how many people peruse government websites for fun?
