Rush made a very good point, which im sure everyone will dismiss cause its rush, just as i would if it were micheal moore, though this is more serious than anything moore has put out ;)

rush says mcnabb is only promoted cause he is a black qb and thats why everyone loves him. rush is thusly removed from ESPN.

kanye west says on national TV that bush hates black people, and is still kept on the bill for Opening Night of NFL.

thoughts or feelings on this?

definately a race card being played here IMO

I see your point, but I think there are two relevant facts that you should be applying to this.

1. McNabb is arguably the best QB in the NFL, and therefore would be promoted even if he were as white as Boomer Esiason.

2. Bush's record on caring about those less fortunate than himself (i.e. the rest of the world), especially black people, is appropriately questioned. Done in the way that Kanye did it? No, but in other contexts, certainly.

So basically, one inappropriate comment is factually false, the other inappropriate comment is factually open to argument, and likely true. Plus Rush is a lousy football commentator, just like Dennis Miller.

I agree, peeps....but the only thing is...Rush made a racially insensitive comment about an athlete...which is what ESPN is, and Kanyes was against something, or someone rather, unaffiliated with the NFL, ESPN, ABC or whatever.

The lineup for the NFL Kickoff is Kanye West, Green Day, and the Rolling Stones...all of which have openly criticized Bush in some way over the past year or two.

Kanye - "George Bush doesn't care about black people."
Rolling Stones - the new song "Sweet Neo-Con"
Green Day - American Idiot album

Perhaps ABC doesn't have a thing for Bush either.

well it just seems to me that if abc is going to let rush go from espn for making a racially insensitive remark, then they should also do the same for kanye

I'm not saying slander isnt a bad thing, I'm only saying there's a difference in the kind of remarks made by Rush and Kanye.

what Kanye said was stupid.....what Rush said was stupid....but theres a difference from attacking the president and attacking someone affiliated with ABC/ESPN.......apples and oranges here...the only thing in common is they were both stupid
