Did anyone see the interview with Ted Kennedy on CNN???

Am I the only one who thinks that maybe old Teddie is edging into Alzheimer's land??

It keeps getting worse and worse...

Ted Kennedy is a drunk. That's what you're seeing, a man that's been drunk too often to know what the hell is going on.

I don' think he was drunk, but he could have "wet brain"--which is what happens when heavy drinkers get older, I can't remember the name of the disease, but it basically the same as Alzheimer's, but it is a result of a life of heavy drinking and therefore entirely of his own making.

Stupid asshole. We were counting on him, too.

I give up.

If two of my brothers were shot in the head, I would have spent a few years drunk as well. I seriously doubt that he is "a drunk" now; I'm pretty sure I recally reading/hearing that he "quit" 20 or more years ago.

The guy works non-stop to serve this country and his state each and every day, sits upon most ever major Senate "committee" during crisis situations or post crisis, averages 4 hours of sleep each night (similar to Ben Franklin), and is 72 years old.

You would be freakin' tired too,..... cut the guy some slack.

well i guess bush and kerry have alzheimer's too... since they never responded straightforward to any questions in the debate... their mics were all fucked up obviously, or he was just avoiding the direct question... if you remembered when it happened, well right after that bush's daughter came on and acted the same way...

I've voted for him every time he comes up for re-election. I know his strengths and weaknesses, and I am angry that if this is Korsikoff's Disease (brain disorder from heavy drinking) that it is his own fault. We NEED him, now, more than ever.

And I am scared that if Teddie needs to resign that we will get a republican senator.

This whole day is fucking scary. I hope you are right, I hope that Ted was just worn out, I hope that we can reverse this awful trend toward religion in our gov't. That's all I can do. Hope.

Well he wouldn't be the only Senator with Alzheimer's...

Now say what you will about Teddy. However, my grandma worked at the State house for many years for a rep. She always said that when they needed something from Teddy, they got it or at least they got a response. And if they needed something from Kerry, they never even called her back. Despite his flaws, Kennedy actually "cares" or something to that effect. If that word even exists in politics anymore.
