Some Students Embarrassed By Dress Code T-Shirts T-Shirts Not Sanctioned By School District

A controversy is brewing at Jefferson County's Green Mountain High School over a T-shirt, reported KMGH-TV in Denver.
The shirt at the center of the debate is one students are asked to wear if they fail to follow the school's dress code.
The shirt reads "Dress Code Violation" on the front and has the school's dress code policy listed on the back.
The aunt of one student who got in trouble calls the enforcement humiliating and wrong.
She complained and the principal said students can wear the T-shirts inside out if they choose.
But some students are making their own statements.
"I don't really think they're getting the point across, because then you see girls wearing the shirts and they're rolling the shirts up, to show their stomachs. So, it's really not doing anything, it seems like," said student Annie Klane.
Jefferson County School's superintendent told the television station that while she supports Green Mountain's new principal, the T-shirts are not sanctioned by the district and no student is required to wear them with the lettering on the outside.

Judge Orders 17-Year-Old Girl Not To Have Sex

SHERMAN, Texas -- No sex. That's part of a sentence imposed on a 17-old-girl by Texas state district judge Lauri Blake.
She's ordered the young drug offender not have sex as long as she is living with her parents and attending school, as a condition of her probation.
It is one of several unorthodox rulings Judge Lauri Blake has imposed since she was elected 10 months ago in the district court that covers Fannin and Grayson counties.
She has also prohibited tattoos, body piercings, earrings and clothing "associated with the drug culture" for those on probation.
Lawyers are also subject to her rulings. Blake has the told female attorneys not wear sleeveless shirts or show cleavage in her courtroom.
Blake agreed to an interview but later declined through her court coordinator.
Some wonder how she can enforce some of her conditions, such as the sex ban.
Former federal prosecutor Fred Moss said some conditions could be viewed as violating someone's personal dignity.
And Steve Blackburn, a lawyer involved with the Dallas chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union, said conditions that violate someone's constitutional rights are best avoided.
Doesn't a ruling like that just make a judge look stupid and irrelevant? In Texas, it probably makes her a celebrity.

Yeah me too.
Our big fight was for shorts. Our JR high had no air conditioning and late May, June, and September can easily be in the 80s in Michigan. We just wore shorts en masse and the administration gave in.

We had dudes show up to school in skirts until they changed the rule.
