Should the UN step in? Of course, there is no question about it. It should have stepped into dozens of other locations as well, such as Iraq, Sierra Leone, Rwanda and the Congo as well. Will they step in and do something about it? Probably not. It's become clear that the UN is completely inept, and full of self-serving countries that will gladly take bribes to fatten their own pockets before doing what is right, standing up for freedom, and defending people against genocide. What has Kofi done for his own people...absolutely nothing. Somehow the UN even managed to turn Somolia into a trainwreck. At this point in history, I think it is foolish to count on the UN for anything...anything at all.

I agree somewhat. I'm not really familiar with the Darfur situation, but if the UN wants to stay relevant it needs to have a change in direction and leadership.
Now that doesn't mean going into nations and removing leaders and governments by force so capitalism can take over either
