You know what is even funnier? The way the extreme left has completely shot to hell any chance of America ever voting for a liberal Democrat. Moore, ex-hippies, trustfund-a-farian hippy wannabes in college (on mommy and daddy's bill no doubt), and lefty loonies have sunk the once dominant Democratic party far worse than the right wing nutjobs have damaged the Republicans. Its funnier yet to see how liberals attack the problem of two failed election campaigns against a relatively easy opponent by attacking how the opponent speaks, dresses, rides a bike, and other things that have absolutely no value in terms of policy and government. Instead of formulating ideas and plans to counter that of the existing party in power, they have sunk to lampooning and pandering to the extreme left.
Guess what? Americans will never elect an overt liberal any more than they will elect an outright facist. It was amazing how well Nader did in 2000 right? No states carried? Wow. What a candidate he was. And Kerry. A classic case of catering too much to the extreme left and completely alienating the majority of Americans. This country does not subscribe to extreme politics on the left or the right. If anything, the country is predominantly conservative (read: NOT nut-job conservative..but mildly conservative) and the people are interested in leading prosperous and healthy lives. They overwhelmingly could not give two shits about gay rights, abortion rights for women, wars in far off lands, the WTO, etc. The republicans know this, and that is why they win. The conservative democrats also know this, but are drowned out by the liberal loonies in their party who focus on things such as taking "God" out of the pledge and "PowerGodSex" parties sponsoered by a bunch of degenerate hippy queers. Yeah...that is going to garner you votes in the south and midwest.
Just because a "light-in-the-Birkies burn-out hippy vegan PETA warrior" strumming a guitar on the corner of Haight and Ashbury says this is how the country should be run does not mean that all liberals should hurry up and adopt such policy as doctrine. He's sitting on the corner for a reason, he is unemployed, a lunatic, and no one in America with any common sense or dignity takes him seriously.
As long as liberal nut cases continue to raid animal labs, parade in BDSM outfits at gay pride parades, defend killing babies without hesitation, degrade other people's religious beliefs, scoff at people who hunt and eat meat, demand the legalization of dangerous drugs, and promote a socialist/communist Utopian society where everyone can gather llama poop and farm on a commune....they will NEVER, EVER hold any position of power in this country.

Actually I pluck, not a big fan of strumming the bass guitar, and I'm not unemployed, as I work for an adoption agency when I'm not in class, learning to be a jounalist, but please generalize and sterotype as much as possible, the best way to help the country is to polarize everyone.
