I don't think it should be taught in Science class, since there is no scientific evidence, but I'd support Green Habit's (I think it was him) plan to allow it to be taught in a philosophy class. Those classes are usually electives anyway, so nobody would be forced to listen.
ID is believed by ALOT of people. Students should at least have a choice to learn about it.

Is it not taught in churches or at least expressed, I could be wrong though and if it is than the students that would be interested in ID are handed what they desire

I know it's taught in many Protestant churches that have Sunday School, and I'm sure that it's taught in CCD at Catholic churches. Not every kid's parents go to church though, and I think a 16 or 17 year old kid is old enough to decide if he/she wants to learn about it.
I dunno, on the other hand, if special funding/training is need to do so, I may change my mind.
i would even go so far as to support a theology/history class in public schools, but these people just want their kooky ways and they dont realize how much damage they are doing
