Why is a senator wasting his time bitching about violence in video games and that we need to do something about it?

Goddamnit, I thought that it was the Republicans who wanted to legislate morality! BAHHH!!

I have never thought Joe Lieberman was a worth a shit. I don't know of any Democrats that I can't stand more than him.

Lieberman has been doing this for as long as I can remember, in fact he was one of the Senators most strongly opposed to it like 7 or 8 years ago. This isn't really anything new

But you're right, it is a waste of time. Lieberman never really impressed me that much anyway.

Choosing Joe Lieberman as a VP was a small nail in the coffin in Gore's chances of earning my vote in 2000.

Of course, having Tipper nearby wasn't helpful, either.

All he has to do is not buy them for his grand kids.... problem solved.

He's worse than Tipper (Gore).

The only thing is Joe Lieberman would actually be a guy that could get conservatives over to the Democrat Party. However, he'd probably make some Democrats jump party.

God bless,

Jared

Nope, See Tipper Gore.

Michael Powell is maybe worse, though I'm unsure of his party.

Michael Powell should be patting these complainers (especially the Super Bowl people) on the head reminding them to take thier mothers little helpers and go back to doctor phil. Don't like it, change the channel or turn it off.

Or, if you REALLY don't like it, write your angry complaints to CBS, MTV, etc., NOT the government!!

Or, you can try some publicity campaigns against said companies. Hit them with a bit of negative publicity.

Or the power of stupid people in very samll groups.

There was guy on NPR the other day who was investigating an FCC fine levied against FOX for indecency on the show "Married By America". The FCC claimed there were 159 complaints filed. The investigator filed a Freedom of Information Act request to see the complaints, and there were a total of THREE different letters, two unique, and one copied and sent in by 157 (presumably) different people. So only 3 people in America cared enough to actually write the FCC a letter about this, and it caused a $300,000 fine!

Fuck social conservatives right in the ass.
