Would you hit it? I would... with a shovel! The 16-year old will never live this down.
Kansas woman is 2006's first sex-with-teenage-student arrestee
JANUARY 5--While some news outlets have concerned themselves with reporting on the first births of 2006, TSG prefers to focus on truly important occurrences of the new year. To that end, we'd like to introduce you to Kansan Nadine Nunnelee, the first teacher to be arrested this year for having sex with a teenage student. The 40-year-old Nunnelee, a teacher at Garden City High School, is facing felony charges for five illicit trysts (allegedly held at Nunnelee's home last month) with a 16-year-old male student. She was arrested at school yesterday morning and booked into the Finney County jail, where the below mug shot was snapped. She has been suspended with pay from her school position while a police investigation continues. Thanks to KIUL news director Andrew Mahoney for the heads-up on Nunnelee's bust. (1 page)
An interesting element to both teacher sex scandals and priest sex scandals is a tendency to brush it off as just perversion or grossness, but I'm curious as to why people think these two professions seem to have an unusually high number of problems in this field.

Not that I don't have my own opinions...
There really aren't an unusual number of incidents with teachers. It's mostly just the fact that over this past year or two there were some hot teachers who fucked their students, and the media knows that these stories draw viewers.
The prieist sex scandal is a whole different story, though.

Not that these people are your usual sex offenders (the teachers, that is), but many of these cases involve people who choose these positions BECAUSE they will be around a lot of impressionable young children. So a lot of the time it's the sex offender picking the job rather than the job picking the sex offender.
