Before cops threw the book at him, Jakub Fik threw something unusual at them -- his penis.
Fik, 33, cut off his own penis during a Northwest Side rampage Wednesday morning. When confronted by police, Fik hurled several knives and his severed organ at the officers, police said. Officers stunned him with a Taser and took him into custody.
"We took him out without any serious injury, with the exception of his own," said Chicago Police Sgt. Edward Dolan of the 16th District.
Doctors at Northwestern Memorial Hospital reattached Fik's penis Wednesday, sources said. He was listed in good condition Thursday, according to hospital spokesman Andrew Buchanan, who declined to comment further.

So you can just reattach your penis just like that? There must be a downfall like significantly less bloodflow to the penis resulting in wimpy or no erections. Urination must also be a pain, the flow must be restricted somehow as well.

yah--those veins are pretty big and can be reassembled faily easily, however, the nerves that he severed are very dificult to repair. sometimes they sponteneously repair upon reattachment (if it is done quickly enough and precicely enough), other times they just die off.
so he could have a fully functioning penis with all the blood flow and whatnot, but with very little sensation.

i don't know why but i find this story hilarious. the thought of a guy throwing his wang at anybody, much less cops, just makes me laugh (and wince) at the same time.
