Is this becoming more prevalent or is just now being recognized as a serious crime? I think it's probably a combination of the 2, along with some other factors.
Also, be honest, do you find it to be less abhorrent when it's an older teenage male and an "attractive" teacher?

It's weird, no one seems to be grossed out if the lady is pretty. As if the boys aren't really victims (maybe some might even argue that they are not victims).
Interesting trends. Girls are now more likely to be binge drinkers, bachellorete parties are becomind wilder while bachellor parties are becoming tamer, and in general it seems like men are becoming lazier and more complacent and women are becoming more comfortable and even aggresive with their sexuality. A lot of research has been coming out about this in the last five years...I know that in my neck of the woods the girls at school seem WAY more aggressive and territorial about boys than vice versa.
And the number of female sexual predators has tripled in a half-decade.
Of course, women are increasingly becoming the major players of the workforce, so that might have an impact on how a society percieves itself and how players act within it. Or maybe things are just sine-waving as they even out.

No, I'm serious, and thinking in terms of a scenario in modern America. I think the actions of a moron celebrity in the 50's is irrelevant to this discussion.
