are we sure this isnt out of context and youre just looking to stir shit up, cause it seemed to me that the guy chuckled about it as if they had a prior relationship and bush was joking with him

Should I have expected him to tell the president, "No, dick, I'm fucking blind."?? But to answer your question. Yes, because Bush later called the reporter to apologize.

bush made a mistake and apologized?
"Bush's Arrogance Makes Him Look Like a Dick. Later He Finds Out What a Fuck He Is and Has To Apologize" wouldn't fit in the subject line.

If I call a black guy a nigger, and he doesn't beat me into the ground, that doesn't mean I shouldn't be criticized for calling him a nigger. Especially immediately following statements about respect for others.

Yeah that makes a ton of sense. Read the article you posted. The guy said there was no way Bush could have know he was blind. It's little more difficult to believe you didn't know someone was black.

Unbeleiveable. This reporter has an eye disease that requires him to wear sunglasses. A disease he openly admits to not telling anyone at the White House about. Bush makes a crack about him wearing the glasses, not knowing he had the disease, and people are piling on Bush?! Give me a break.
The reporter even said he wasn't offended b/c Bush didn't know he had the disease.
Please, stop trying to make an issue out of a silly incident.
This is ridiculous. I'm no fan of Bush by any stretch but this is the kind of shit that irks the hell out of me. Do we really need to make up stuff with which to ridicule this knucklehead? It's just dogpiling at this point, and it's annoying.

Oh come on now B, you're smarter than that. You know they are completely different. Unknowingly making fun of a man for wearing sunglasses when he turns out to be blind is not even in the same stratosphere as calling a black man the n word.

I'll tell you what guys, our president is a hugely arrogant jokester at a time of war (of his own making) when we need a charasmatic, well-spoken, stoic leader.
If I find a story that highlights how that is a recipe for embarrassment, it may not mean we need an impeachment, but you better believe I'm gonna share the story.
He talks about respect, and then goes on to make a reporter the butt of his joke on national TV? It doesn't even matter that the dude is blind. Bush is a smart-ass dick, who blows smoke up our asses every time there is a microphone in front of him. Respect for the American people means answer serious questions from reporters about the shit you've done to the country, and laugh on your own fucking time.

In the same press conference, he was poking around at another journalist for being a substitute, of all things. As a matter of fact, he made quite a few lame jokes towards different members of the press, laughed at his own (lack of) wit, and then went right back into question-flanking mode when asked anything of substance.
It's really no wonder the media doesn't take him seriously.
