I am honestly not educated much on this subject
Can someone explain it a bit, it would be very helpful. Thanks.

I am no expert either, but if you recall during the planning phase of the EU the idea was to harmonize the trade laws between all the nations. Like Bush has done with the example here. That was the initial plan. Was has resulted from it is that the EU nations have surrended some of their sovereignty to the EU organization itself. It's a good example of the "slippery slope" cliche. People can now relocate between EU nations w/o passports. Trade unions can act across national borders. The EU bueracracy (bad spelling I know) can change the fiscal policy of it's member nations.
Now think of that with respect to Mexico and Canada. Do we want them to have a say in our immigration policies? Our financial policies?
I may be way off base here, I admitt sometimes I am, but that's the impression I got from what I have read about this underhanded deal. It's eeirily similiar to 1984/BraveNewWorld.

The sad fact is that only a small minority of people in this country actually give a shit. the good news is that a lot of them are young people, so once all these damn baby boomers die things should get better.

but can we afford to wait that long. At some point bush's christian base will have to ask themselves "is it really worth it"
