I like this paper/magazine. It's a good read. It seems like almost every article has an opinion, and they make no effort to seperate op/ed pieces from the rest (by not labeling them), but I don't mind that. It's dense as can be, and slow to get through, but far less watered down than any major newspaper or magazine stateside.

I believe that nobody actually subscribes to The Economist. They just steal them from doctors' offices, skim a few articles and then tell people that they read something in The Economist to try to impress their intellectual friends and colleagues.

i subscribe - it's the best news weekly by far but the subscription is frigging expensive. great magazine, though, and somewhat in line with my political philosophy so worth the $.

My brother subscribes, and I use his login info for the website.

Read it cover to cover for 4 weeks and then make a decision. Every time I read it cover to cover, I feel like I'm good to make decent conversation on a bunch of topics. Seriously, it's by far the best magazine you could get, if you're interested in world politics, economic and financial news, and some science and arts.

The New Republic is an excellent political magazine as well. Oh man, do I have to shit...FUCK
