Is coming to my school. Is it worthwhile to go hear her speak or would I have a more interesting evening going to see a movie with my ladyfriend?

Depends on the movie. She pretty much spouts jingoistic, cliched babble about various issues. But then again, if it's her or Employee of the Month, go with Huffington.

You see, I don't know much about her, other than being unable to recall anyone saying anything positive about her. As part of the little bio/ info blurb they give on speakers it says she has a show on NPR. I thought NPR tried to stay away from these types of people. :?

If she has a regular show on NPR, it's not nationally syndicated.

I don't always agree with her, but I always find her entertaining. I'd go see her.

I was pretty much waiting for you to chime in. I shall heed your instructions, and save $10 that would otherwise go to a movie. Thank you for helping me make sound financial decisions.

That $10 should go to your beer fund.

You needn't worry. I'm getting paid tommorow and I hope to spend the vast majority of it on alcohol. My apartment is dangerously low on spirits. :(

If you are interested in the topics she is speaking on, you should go. Dissent and disagreement are essential to our politcial progress and you may actually learn something by hearing the opposition speak.

Plus you can ask her about that "black people turning to cannibalism" report from her blog during Katrina.
