i know that men have this stupid-ass double standard about wrinkles and aging, and i know you want the world to see your historical broadcast as fresh and exciting.
but botox is not fresh and exciting. it is depressing and creepy.
the lights are harsh and the critics harsher, but damnit! i want to see a real woman broadcasting the news, a woman who has worked hard and paid her dues to get to where she is, a woman who i can look up to, a woman who lets her inner beauty flow through her voice and facial expressions, a woman who lets her intelligence and sincerity steal the show.
if you keep up with the botox, you will be incapable of expression. let it go. we will watch and listen anyway.

i had some botox done about 5 years ago...for migraines. and it was absolutely the most creepy thing i have ever done in the name of getting well. my forehead did not move at all when i raised my eyebrows and i felt freakish.
and that tammy faye baker mascara...oh god, this is going to be a train wreck, isn't it?
