Not that anyone with half a clue didn't expect this, but since NY Times deemed this to be news, thousands of returning soldiers from Iraq are faced with post-traumatic stress disorder. I swear I read something like this in 1991.

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/12/16/natio ... tress.html

Just to point out the main points

Quote:
An Army study shows that about one in six soldiers report symptoms of major depression, serious anxiety or PTSD

Quote:
some experts predict that the number eventually requiring mental health treatment could exceed 100,000.

Quote:
A September report by the GAO found that officials at 6 of 7 Veterans Affairs medical facilities surveyed said they "may not be able to meet" increased demand for treatment of PTSD

They knew the dangers when they signed up. It comes with the territory.

Yeah, didn't they get the Pentagon directive to "Suck it up, faggots"?

In the words of the Beastie Boys, "You reap what you sow when you plant the seed."

I didn't think the preceding line, "Living in a rat race, smoking rat weed" really applied.
