This is a pretty cool little tool that you can use to scan through misleading information leading up to the Iraq War.

That's absurd. Why would anyone lie about this stuff?

Interesting stuff, but quite a few of those entries don't really have to do with the Iraq War, and just serve to cheer on what they perceive as Bush's faults.

Then again, this is Mother Jones we're talking about.

Agreed...Mother Jones isn't a periodical I would count on for accuracy and no-spin news.

They did get one thing right in their history...they fired Michael Moore.

I'll give you bias, but MoJo isn't known for inaccuracies.

Well, in regards to their "lie by lie" timetable and the corresponding summaries, I'll point out one off the bat - according to them, the final report by Hans Blix to the UN Security Council states that "the Iraqis are cooperating with the inspectors." While the report did state that the Iraqis were being much more cooperative than they had been in the past, they were still not forthcoming in regards to serious questions about WMD programs. So for Mother Jones to assert that the report said that, at the time, "the Iraqis are cooperating with inspectors" is inaccurate.

I won't bother to mention all of the statements that were ones of opinion that they hold to be "lies."

good lord
they left out the 2000 debates where "the dil" was offering reasons why we needed to invade iraq....
then the election and 9/11 made that alot easier
