apparently they found a fossil of a spearhead in America that's consistant with certain types of spearheads made by the early humans in south France, and contends that some Europeans during the ice age crossed the Atlantic from France to the Americas by boating along the ice sheets that covered half of north Atlantic.

This was on the discovery channel last night, but i only caught the last couple of minutes of it, which is why i went and searched for it online.

I am personally still skeptical, but if this is the case, it's pretty astonishing.

Well, they couldn't have been too bright if they thought jumping from ice sheet to ice sheet for a couple of months was a good idea. No wonder they didn't last very long on this side of the pond.

They did use boats and small vessels (supposedly), but they needed the ice sheets for refuge in case of storms. there was also plenty of seafood.

i believe it was also mentioned that there were also DNA evidences supporting this theory.

the issue is, if this turn political, it would mean that the Americans coming from Siberia from the bering strait wouldn't be the original Americans, so the claim that European colonizers stole the land away from Indians wouldn't be valid anymore, since it would be the Americans from the Bering strait who first stole the land from the "real" native americans, those who came from southern France.

Might this also threaten to swell the heads of modern day French?

Oh fuck, thats the worst of it. I hadn't made the connection that this might help validate their insane Theology. Next up: ruins of ancient American cities found - evidence of widescale warfare.

Save me from the Mormons!!!
