I've only been looking around here for about 10 minutes or so, but it seems to be non-partisan, with a somewhat libertarian slant. Lots of news links to the kinds of articles that we seem to have a lot of fun with around here.

It does have some Arizona focus, but mostly the issues are national. I think I might join the forums there and see what people are talking about, and if they're crazy or not.

I think it's a newish website. Help 'em out.

Regardless, the news source is pretty good.

Cool site. I think everyone should read the article on the NAFTA Superhighway. It's a great read from a Republican Congressman from Texas. Thanks PD, cool site.

Well, I clicked the "War!!!" link and was transported to a page that says - "Dedicated to outing the liars and exposing the lies that allow war to become a habit."
A review of the stories is interesting..."WMD stands for Words of Mass Deception"..."Unaccountable mercenaries are abusing Iraqis"....stories about U.S. "blunders" and "desperate tactics."

Diagnosis: This is a Liberal Smear Site.

Yeah, this is unbelievably liberal:

Quote:
The founders knew that when a mega-government is created its tendency is to absorb greater and greater power over individuals. Likewise, today's generation needs to guard itself against centralizing government.

The Security and Prosperity Partnership and the North American Union Super Highway are another element of bigger and more intrusive government into the lives of all individuals. In reality this new partnership will make individuals far less secure and less prosperous just like restricting firearm ownership makes individuals less secure and more government economic planning make people less prosperous. Both add up to more and bigger government that individuals will not be able to control.

A superhighway to mega-government is the last thing individuals need. What is really necessary is a superhighway of liberty reducing the size of all government to microscopic proportions.

Most libertarians think this war is a sham too.

Libertarian...I stand corrected.

Actually, I don't have any use for the Republican's "family values agenda" stuff, so Libertarian would be a closer fit for me. However, I've read their platform and I do know that they take the position that America should leave the rest of the world alone and take an isolationist stance. Where I don't fit in with the Libertarians is their "world without borders" ideology and I think they go a bit too far with wanting to leagalize all drugs and such. I'm not for government interference, but their agenda is too radical to be embraced by the electorate, which is, for the most part, moderate. Just my opinion.

I saw the WMD = Words of Mass Deception thing and immeditely thought it was a far-left wingnut site. Sorry about that.

Well, it's reported that over a third of Americans believe that 9/11 was an "inside job," so let's keep such things in perspective.

So... Libertarians are as a group the intellectual equals of 9/11 conspiracy theorists?

No, that is not what I was saying. Nice straw man, though.
