Citing increased violence and associated security costs, Contrack abandons its $325million contract to help build infrastructure.

I wonder if more are going to follow suit if things don't start improving?

It only the first US contractor. Foreign contractors have been leaving for quite a while. $385Million is a lot of money to walk away from.

I prefer post-traumatic stress or death over not having a lot of $$$, therefore I will keep my Iraqi reconstruction contract.

<---- Still wonders why contracts weren't given exclusively to Iraqi construction firms.

Did they, and will they, donate to the election campaign war chests of either party?

Moreover, what Iraqi construction firms?

I'm sure they do have construction companies, but I just doubt the local businesses would have the capacity to rebuild the place, after the "smart-bombs" blew up so much.
