Thought this might do well in this forum since it relates to debate.
this is a peice I did recently. it was done in photoshop with a tablet and digital pen. the assignment was to create an image based on one of the 7 deadly sins using allegory (assigning images and objects out of context to get a message across). the sin I chose was Greed. after doing some research I found that in classical imagery greed is generally associated with the frog and the color yellow. your punishment in hell for greed is to be boiled alive in hot oil. hence the deep fryer.
thought I might see what people think.
the classical imagery i am refering to goes back to this artist, Bosch

I like it. I think yours could of been a bit more subtle, but that is just my taste. I don't have talent like yours, so please don't think I'm scoffing at you or putting you down. All in all, I think you will do good on your assignment. Nice job. Please feel free to share anything else you might have.

I see some gluttony in there too. That's good, different people take away different meanings ...

thats cool, I am in the field of Illustration more than fine arts, at least in the department at my school they kinda try to get us to spell things out, or as my prof put it, beat them over the head with the message. the McDonalds simbol isnt very subtle, but I did it anyway. had I been a painting major, the meaning would have been hidden behind a wall of bullshit. I like fine art just fine (and there is certainly alot to be said for making the person think about what they are seeing), but I dont beleive you should have to have a phd. in me to get what im saying.
I have put my work up before, but here is the more recent stuff.
