A Florida woman was arrested yesterday for burning down the fifth oldest tree in the world while smoking meth inside of it.
The iconic 118-foot Seminole County cypress tree known as The Senator, estimated to be some 3,500 years old, burned to the ground in January following what police believed to be an arson attack.
But a Crimeline tip led investigators to 26-year-old Sarah Barnes, who confessed to setting it alight while smoking meth with a friend inside the tree.
“I can’t believe I burned down a tree older than Jesus,” Barnes allegedly told friend while showing them photos of the burning tree she snapped with her cellphone.
Barnes was booked into Seminole County Jail on a felony charge of intentional burning of land, as well as drug charges.

A Florida man was arrested Monday for allegedly assaulting his mother over a can of salsa and taco sauce.
According to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office report, 23-year-old Christopher Phillips became upset after his 55-year-old mother Rebecca used his salsa and taco sauce on her dinner without permission.
The police say Phillips screamed and yelled before putting his mother in a head lock and breaking her glasses. His live-in girlfriend, 27-year-old Lisa Tyre, later got involved as well, emerging from the room they share and slapping Rebecca in the face four times.
Both Phillips and Tyle were arrested and charged with misdemeanor domestic battery. Phillips is still in jail; Tyre was cut loose.

One of those stories that are an easy lay up for jokes.
Woman shot by boyfriend in hog-hunting accident, deputies say 6:23 p.m. EST, April 22, 2012|By David Damron, Orlando Sentinel
A Brandon woman was shot in both legs Saturday night by her boyfriend in what Flagler County Sheriff's officials say was a hog-hunting accident.
Deputies said that Steven Egan, 52, mistook his girlfriend, 52-year-old Lisa Simmons, for a wild hog while the two were hunting from a tent at the Cowart Hunt Camp on County Road 305 in west Flagler County.
While inside the tent, Egan told deputies he thought he had shot a hog and went outside to track it, not realizing Simmons had later left the tent, too. Hearing a noise in the woods, Egan shot at it, thinking it was the same hog. Instead he sent a .30 caliber rifle shot through both of Simmons' upper legs. Egan "said he was unaware that Simmons had left the tent and was in the woods," a sheriff's office press statement said.
Simmons was transported to Halifax Medical Center for surgery, but officials could not be immediately reached for further details.

How is the zombie cannibal face eater guy not been posted yet?
MIAMI, Fla. -- The naked cannibal was not the Rudy Eugene his classmates knew.
The image of a growling, face-eating so-called "zombie" didn't sit well Tuesday with those who remembered Eugene as a teenager.
"No, that's not him," said Victoria Forte, a former classmate from North Miami Beach High School. "Drugs did this to him. Drugs took over a person we knew as a beautiful person."
Eugene, 31, was shot and killed by a Miami police officer who tried to get him to stop chewing on the bloodied flesh of Ronald Poppo, 65, on the MacArthur Causeway on Saturday afternoon. The grisly attack made international headlines, with graphic photographs of the victim lying beside his nude, dead attacker circulating on social media websites.
But Miami police have released no information about the events that led to the incident, including whether or how Eugene and Poppo may have known each other.
"It's all under investigation," Sgt. Freddie Cruz said
