The owners of the seats overlooking Wrigley may have right to complain. They've already been screwed over by having to pay money to the Cubs, in my opinion. However, they could make quite the haul in the off-season with some concerts.
In a way, I understand the complaints of regular citizens of the area. It's not exactly a park out in the middle of nowhere. It's smack dab in the middle of upper middle class Chicago, and they deal with Cubs games, but that's all they expect. Of course, if PJ played a show at Wrigley, I'd give my first born (if that ever happens) to attend the concert.

I agree, and I don't think it's right. However, you must know the residents of the area will complain about late night concerts, claiming that somehow concerts were never a part of what they expected, just late night Cubs' games.

Jimmy Buffet is a "high quality audience"?
I lived on Clark Street in Lakeview about a mile south of Wrigley and the streets are a disaster even that far away on game day. What is two or three more events a year? It's not like they can play outdoor concerts there much outside the baseball season anyway. You ever been to Chicago from October to March?

sure, those rooftop seats are way too expensive... but i don't see why it should be considered stealing. they're taking advantage of their view... that's like saying an ocean-view property is stealing for the first however many miles of view from the tax payers who own the ocean waters.
