I'm watching larry king right now and they're talking about the Tsunami. Some lady calls in and asks a some guy under the Bush administration a question. I don't have the exact quote because I just heard it, but it was something like, "with all the technology that the United States has, why didn't we warn this part of the world about this disaster? The Bush Administration should have given and raised money for this before the disaster took place."

I knew, I just knew if I looked close enough, it would all be Bushs fault. The rainy days, volcanoes exploding, Aids, hurricanes, tsunamis....yeah its all Bushs fault. That rat bastard let me tell ya... :x

while I do agree with you that he is a rat bastard... that's a pretty rediculous quote. Plus, anybody who's been watching the news already knows why the US didn't know about it ahead of time.

I really don't think he is a rat bastard. I should have added in "sarcasim". But thats not the point. They were also talking about which sites were the most reliable relief efforts. I was thinking about doing some fund raising and donating. Red Cross i was thinking?

Uninformed Bush-haters are just as annoying as uninformed liberal-haters.

I don't think it's Bush haters per se. I just think that many people in under developed countries don't really know what's in the US's power and what's not. You can see how people might get the impression that we are almost God-like in our powers, especially when it comes to science.

It's also believeable that the foreign press would be likely to highlight a US break down in ability to inform these countries instead of examining their own government's failures. With a natural disaster it's hard to place blame on anyone.

Larry King has to be the worst excuse for an interviewer/journalist I've ever seen, aside from the idiots at Fox. I happened to be flipping channels the other night, and came upon his show. He had a PhD in seismology or something related, and asked her to explain how the tsunamis happened. So, she carefully explained tectonic plates, etc. After all this, the camera returns to Larry, who asks, "So, what you're saying is that this is a natural catastrophe?" I swear to God, those were his exact words. No, dipshit, martians fucking did it.

My roomate's theory is that the US Government droped a few nukes along the fault lines in order to take world attention away from Iraq and make America look like the good guy again. He's not particularly against the Bush Administration, just whole heartedly anti-government. I think he had some mighty fine points.

I forgot who he had on a few weeks ago, but it went like this:

"We only have another 60 seconds left. You were stalked, how was that for you?"

LK is a mo-ron.

Well, let's not forget that King is older AND more senile than Rather.

And that's saying a LOT.
