on the fox superbowl feed, before it started they had coaches and players and people reading out lines from the declaration of independence line by line. a different person and shot for every line. introduced by colin powell and someone else. then singing america the beautiful and then the national anthem.

I turned off the pregame when they had a "roundtable" with Jimmy Johnson, Jerry Jones, Troy Aikman, Moose Johnston, and Michael Irvin talking about their past Cowboys teams. Yeah, because in a Super Bowl with the Packers/Steelers I want to hear those guys stroking their egos for fifteen minutes.

I was actually saying to someone (who was in complete agreement) that if they had done an exposé on the Constitution instead of the Declaration, I would have been fine with it.

Strangely enough, I was watchin the BBC's coverage, they were relaying Fox's feed. Dont think they showed that part funnily enough. Cant think why:)

Don't think of it as Americans being stupid about independence. Think of it as Americans being stupid about the Superbowl.

I try to watch Fox as little as possible (not a fan of Joe Buck), I was watching the golf tourney in Scottsdale.

What was the idea behind it?

I heard Enrico Palazzo did the national anthem though so that's cool right?

You guys are missing the point. They started doing this after 9/11. If they stopped now they hate America and the terrorists won.

There is no reason for a country to not be proud of it's heritage. If your multiculturalist overlords would let you, your country could have such a document as well. Haters gonna hate.
