Notice the watch on his wrist at about 0:50 of the video, and then he reaches his hands into the crowd, and then about 20 seconds later, NO WATCH!!!

Bush robbed? Not on my watch!

Reports that President George W Bush had his wristwatch stolen while shaking hands with Albanians on his weekend visit are false, Albanian police and the US embassy said.

"The story is untrue and the president did not lose his watch," a spokesman for the embassy in Tirana said.

Some newspapers, television stations and websites carried reports that Mr Bush's watch vanished on Sunday when he was greeted by ecstatic crowds in Fushe Kruje, outside the capital Tirana.

"It is not true," said Albania's police director, Ahmet Prenci.

Photographs showed Mr Bush, surrounded by five bodyguards, putting his hands behind his back so one of the bodyguards could remove his watch.

I reckon you can see the moment his watch is stolen... and at no point do you see him make any motions that resemble taking a watch off.

Dude should just admit it, he was robbed!!

I guess they haven't learned yet in Albania that printing something in a newspaper does not automatically make it true.

I think that if it were Romania there wouldn't be any question about the perpetrators.

More to the point.

Why is the supposed 'Leader of Free World' (whatever the hell that means) wearing a Mickey Mouse watch on an official dimplomatic visit? Not very presidential...

Well, albanians dont have a good reputation at all, there is a lot of prejudice towards them, since they country is one of the most fucked up in Europe. I guess some pricks consider them the "european gypsies".

Even talking about this nonpartisan nonissue, Tony Snow still manages to sound like an enormous penis. :?

A Mickey Mouse watch is classic Americana. I don't see anything wrong with it.
